What? I didn’t Tell You about Earth Day?

We had a great Earth Day! It was wonderful! As a fourth grade, we were given the opportunity to plant some trees along the Lakeside Trail in Spring Lake. After the terrible wind storms in 1998, Spring Lake lost a lot of trees. In an effort to replace those trees and all the wonderful things that trees provide, the township has been trying to replant a certain number of trees. Each class was given a tree, gave a little “speech” about the Lakeside Trail and then they planted! Look at these kids hard at work on Earth Day! We walked over to the trail and walked back. To make it an extra special effort, we picked up trash. These kids are “Earth Friendly”!
