A Trip to Court
We went on a special trip today to the Grand Haven Circuit Court. In Social Studies we are studying how Michigan’s Government is set up and the different, yet important parts there are to make our government work. One of those areas of the Government is the Judicial Branch. We had an opportunity to meet Judge Post and have him share all of his insight and wisdom with us about how the Circuit Court works and what it takes to make it run well. Ask your child about the two “C”s of cases that are tried in Judge Post’s courtroom. I have attached a slideshow so you can see the kids in the courtroom. It was so informational. The kids were so well behaved and represented Holmes School well. We also want to thank all the parent volunteers that gave up their time to help us all get there safely. We could not have done it without you! You were also such good sports to sit in the jury “box”. Thanks!

My grandma and papa went to SC the day before that and on Saturday they saw Judge Post. He said that we were the best behaved 4th grade he had ever had!
