It was a “Grand Day!”

On Friday we took a trip back in time… We had a fun-filled day of learning about Michigan history right behind our school, next to the Grand River. We met with some voyageurs and even had a chance to travel on their canoe. We played a Native American game, met with a fur trader, and even had a chance to sit in a REAL wigwam and learn how to make roping from the bark of a tree. It was a “grand” day! Michigan’s history is so exciting and there is so much to learn. We were even in the Grand Haven Tribune on Saturday. Check it out if you can! Here are some pictures for you…
