What an Incredible Day!
We went on a great field trip today to P.J. Hoffmaster State Park in Muskegon. The weather was just beautiful and we learned so much. I keep telling the kids how fortunate we are to live in such an amazing part of the world, but today they got to see it for themselves. The dunes and Lake Michigan were just awe inspiring. I hope the students had as much fun as I did. I hope they took away a few new and exciting facts that they didn’t know. I think they did.
We could not have done it without our wonderful driver volunteers. Thank you to everyone that drove, hiked with us, and gave your time so that we could have such a wonderful experience outside of school. We could not have done it without you.
Check out the slideshow for some pictures of us in action. We hiked through the back dune, fore dune, and to the beach, we found magnetite in the sand and of course…we CONQUERED the dune!

Thank you so much for inviting me to chaperone to Hoffmaster. It was a wonderful experience. The children were so much fun to be with and what a treat to see their enthusiasm in all the activities. They were well prepared for the experience and how proud you can be for their participation and good behavior.
